Session 06 Recap

We pick up right where we left off. We have arrived at the inn, The Monkey’s Uncle, in the town of Madetricona.

The group finds a table and sits down. A gnome mailman comes in and hands Althena a letter. Althena tells the group that her college needs help and she has to leave us for the time being. The innkeeper, Gene (though oddly enough he wasn’t blue nor was he singing), comes to the table and the group orders food and drink. While Gene is retrieving our orders the group discuss a few things. 1) How are we gonna get the Necro Ring back and 2) who could behind all this. (At this point the DM left the table and when he returned we were in conspiracy theory thinking. Some theories; Azi was in on the ring taking. Garret [Alex’s “brother”] is behind the whole thing, and more)

Shortly after the groups food arrives and we eat. The front door opens and a High Elf dressed in Priest clothes enter the inn. He heads straight to the group’s table and introduces himself as Vedic Prismal. Vedic is the High Mocky Mock of the Order of Ailiya. He tells the group he’s been looking for them since they cleared out of the bad dudes from the cave (session 1). THe second the group poured the blood on the statue of Ailiya he was sent a vision from her. His vision was of the group, the Necro Ring and danger and tells us that he saw the ring falling into the hands of evil shapeshifters. So he’s come all this way to help us and keep the ring safe. (Now he shows up. If he had stopped to ask for directions he might have been on time, though he doesn’t seem surprised that he’s too late, maybe he’s in on it too?) Vedic informs the group that the Necro Ring is actually the Ring of Basan. Basan now know the ring is awake again and has its powers returned and Basan wants it back at all cost.

Vedic changes the subject. He tells the group that Ailiya told him that Torachas (Azi’s god) has been trying to talk to someone in the group and they’re not listening and looks at Vistra (oops). Ailiya also tells Vistra to be honest with the group about her visions (busted, thanks DM). Vistra tells the group about her first vision that she wasn’t completely honest about (though the DM’s facial expressions should have given something away the first time) (See Below). Vistra’s vision was 5 days ago and will take place in 35 days. It is currently the 19th of the month and the vision occurred on the 15th. The group heads to bed.

The next morning, the 20th, a cold morning with temperatures in the 30s. The party assembled in the dining room of the inn and are greeted by Gene’s daughter, Jasmine. The party orders food. Jasmine is also being followed by a cat person called a Tabaxi, standing approximately 4th tall. The Tabaxi’s named is Tigebore (really should have been Rajah). Jasmine begins telling the group about her friend Radagar (Aladdin)(he stole the jumping ring last session). She informs the group that Radagar wants to meet with us and return the ring. Group meets with Radagar where he apologizes for taking the ring and returns it to Azi.

The conversation turns to the groups journey to the capital and Radagar offers some suggestions on how to get to the capital. Walk (very long walk), there’s a canal (need to hire a ferry boat) or Aladdin has a carpet of flying. (Big surprise Aladdin has a magic carpet). But the group will have to retrieve the carpet from a cave a cave (the cave of wonders) that is just north of town and is guarded by a Water Element. Group decides to go after the carpet and leave the inn where Althena rejoins the group.

Group walks the 1-2 hour walk the the cave and enter the cave.

The cave is dark so Tolvin decides to light up the torches that are on the far side of the wall because he can’t see worth shit. By lighting the torches asshole wakes up the entire cave.

Sorcha manages to push both water weirds out of the water and destroy both. DM picks on Sorcha and ties her up 4 times. Althena takes down the water element. Vistra gets the carpet and goes flying. Archimedes dies. Tolvin takes out both mud mephits. (Bout time he do something useful)

Cave had 50 gold, a wooden shield, potion of dark vision, scroll of floating disk (Tolvin takes) and scroll of command undead (Azi takes). Group head back the inn to rest.

The Vision

Where other ones usually didn’t have any sort of way to tell time, in this one, she can clearly see the moons in the sky. One is full, and two are waning, one more than the other. (when she comes to, Vistra will see that the night of the vision is 40 days away) The vision mostly shows a dark elf with several other elves around him in a circle of stones. At the center of the stones is an altar, and strapped to the altar is a young woman. The dark elf is holding a dagger above her - and he’s wearing the ruby Stormraven ring.
