Agency - Session 06 Recap
The team wakes up and fills Uxoria in on the events of the previous night. She says that she has no jobs currently lined up. Just then the doorbell rings and everyone heads down stairs.
In walks a very nervous Jenkins. He tells us that his master, Ulysses Salamander, would like to see all of us, including Uxoria, at his warehouse at midday. Uxoria is concerned about leaving the agency without anyone there. She gets an idea and asks us to watch over the Agency while she goes out. While she is out, the team looks around the office and upstairs. We found 4g, Thieves Tools, which we took. We also found a Forgery Kit under Uxoria’s bed, but we left that alone.
Uxoria comes back with her father’s Jenkins who has agreed to watch the Agency while we are out. We all head off to the warehouse. When we get there we are greeted by Jenkins and Ulysses. Ulysses and Uxoria go into the office to work out the agreement. Jenkins gives us a tour of the warehouse.
We come back to the front to meet with Ulysses. He’s offering us each 500g + 50g upfront to protect him. He believes someone is out to get him and his head of security has gone missing. He tells us that he is going to go to the market that night and wants us to be there undercover to catch whoever is after him and then help interrogate him. He says that we won’t give a cent if we try to change the deal like what happened with Arthur Kennedy.
We agree and we go off to gear up and shop. We pick up a Flying Carpet, Ring of Spell Storing, Robe of Useful Items and a Potion of Fire Breathing.
After we get done shopping, we head back to the warehouse and meet Ulysses. He tells us his plan and we head back to the Market ahead of him and position ourselves around the market.
Thorig uses Detect Magic and notices a red shape moving through the market. At the same time Arianell feels something brush past her, but nothing is there.
Thorig intercepts the red shape before it gets to Ulysses. Thorig takes him down with one swing. The attacker's invincibility is lost and then he is restrained by Arianell and Thorig.
The attacker is taken back to the warehouse where Jenkins strings him up by one of the cranes. Thru interrogation we learn that his name is Barry, and that he is working with a group of people that are not happy that Ulysses is shipping Lizardfolk and Yuan-Ti eggs over see, basically selling them in to slavery. Ulysses says he’s not responsible for what the buyers do, or how the eggs were obtained.
The team takes issue with this, and borders on losing our payday. In the end we convince Ulysses to let us take Barry to the local authorities. He finally agrees while he is trying to figure out an angle to make this whole thing work in his favor. We collect our money.
Session ends with us still in the warehouse.
