Session 57 Recap

We start off the day discussing the World map and the missing parts of it.
We are in the town of Fiodhalart. A small child walks up to Vistra and says “Hi Mommy” and starts hugging Vistra.
Then there's some talking about Sorcha's family tree and who she related to and who’s just friends.
Vistra says through the bracers she’ll explain everything later. This leads to a discussion about the bracers.
Skey finally stops hugging Vistra and turns to the group and introduces herself. Her name is Skey. Her aunt Trysmys is also there and introduces herself. Skey is a druid dwarf and Trysmys is a druid elf. Trysmys walks over to Sorcha and they talk about elf druid things. Trysmys tells the group that she runs the Druidic Circle Vistra joined after the incident at Pride Rock. Trysmys (192 years old) sees the red dragon scale around Sorcha’s necklace. After some discussion about the red dragon Trysmys thinks she once knew Sorcha’s parents.
Trysmys then notices Amriel and starts completely fawning over her. All the animals with us are completely at ease with Trysmys.
Carl (Aid to the King), who is very much over being with us and wants to go home, comes up to the group and says we need to do our presentations. This is the last ceremony thing we have to do then we can all go on our way. A small crowd is starting to form in the center of town. This is the largest town on this side of Rharne. Althena is the only one who truly loves all this attention we’ve been getting. In the crowd there is a woman and a man staring very oddly at us; they are looking at Tolvin as if they are proud and confused at the same time. Tolvin realizes they are his parents. Carl gives his speech, the crowd cheers and we go on our way.
Tolvin's mom comes up to him and yells at him for not telling them he was coming home. It's been nine years since he’s been home. Tolvin says they said they never wanted to see him again and disowned him. The father is still very clearly annoyed at Tolvin. Dad goes to shake Tovlin’s hand but sees his new skin condition and asks if he has been to his uncle Colvin’s Tower. Tolvin says yes. Dad says this is not the place for this conversation to take place and Mom invites everyone back to the house for dinner. Mom is Mariel and Dad is Renard. Mom and Dad lead us through town to their fishing business called Runesnow Fishing. The family lives in the back of the building.
We enter the living quarters and all sit around the table. We talk for a bit learning more about each other then we have the entire time we were together (in our defense we didn’t have time as we were trying to stop a god from returning. Mariel brings some food and drinks out. Mariel says they heard the stories about the battle in the forest and how town criers came through town saying the heroes are coming. She finally looks to Tolvin and says please fill us in on your side of the story. Tolvin starts telling the tales and his dad perks us at the mention of the dragons. Renard asks Tolvin if any of the dragons said anything funny to him. Tolvin says yeah Verul said something along the lines of “You don’t even know what you are”. We now learn a little more about Tolvin’s back story.
Renard says “the reason we never wanted you to study magic is because the last mage in the family was your uncle. Your uncle was talented but eventually went mad and then disappeared. I can see most of your studies have been fire based. Your uncle was activated, so to speak, and then consumed with a hunt for a certain spell. There’s an old family secret that says a distant ancestor had a child with a brass dragon. The dragon DNA had been dormant for so long people forgot about it until Kolvin started into fire magic. That’s when he started changing and went mad then eventually disappeared”. Mom says we should give Tolvin the box. They hand over the box. It's a brass box Kolvin gave to Renard saying one day he would know who to give it to. We decided for safety reasons we will wait to open the box somewhere safe.
Sorcha aksh Trysmys about her parents. Trysmys says she knew them long before Sorcha was born. Says they were kind and giving people. She never knew about Sorcha's existence. The mom left Trysmys’s circle to stay with the dad. Trysmys apologizes for not keeping in touch, she says it would have been an honor to help Dafina’s daughter. Sorcha says she was raised by Geer. They talk about Gaia for a bit and then Sorcha asks if Trysmys knows anything about Kivas. NO.
Sorcha then turns the conversation to Skey who is training to be a druid. Trysmus is head of the Circle of the Moon in the town of Elatha which is located on the outskirts of Verul’s territory south of Pride Rock. Althena then decides to open her mouth and asks Vistra about Skey’s father. Vistra through the bracers “shut up thats a conversation for later”
