Session 33 Recap

Pick up at the Lizard Village and it now midafternoon

The lizard people aren’t used to having company so they’re not sure what to do with us until then so we kind of just entertain ourselves until the party starts. Tolvin and Azi read their books. Sorcha sends a message to Kai informing him about the cult wanting to resurrect Aengus. Sorcha gets an almost immediate response from Kai saying “Oh goody another cult”. Althena just chills. And Vistra uses the Sending Stone to send a message to Thoradon updating him on everything that’s happening.

While we have some time we ask Akengo if it is possible to send Charlotte somewhere different then he will be sending us. He gives us a little confused look and Sorcha gives him the highlights; we want to go to Eisgfion and we would like to send Charlotte to the capitol. Akengo walks over to Srex to discuss. They can’t send us to different places because the stone they have is part of a pair and they can only send people to the location of the stones mate. After some discussion Charlotte says she’ll come with us. She can probably find a safe place in Eisgfion to hide (the cult won’t expect her to travel to the other side of the continent that quickly) or she can hop on a boat and just leave the country until after the equinox. Akengo then gives us instructions on how to use the stones (walk up to it, touch it, and then walk away from the new spot).

All of a sudden Srex says “It’s finally down” and brings over a bowl of simmering purple liquid. This apparently is some kind of mood enhancer. They offer us some. Vistra declines saying she has her own stuff for that. Althena is the only brave one in the group and gives it a sniff and instantly becomes high. Akengo says she will be like this for the next 6 hours oh and umm she’ll also have hallucinations (great). High Althena starts riding Amriel who doesn’t seem to be pleased with it. Then she decides the place needs some music and becomes the Jimi Hendricks of Rharne.

While Althena is enjoying her “trip” Sorcha and Nalagon talk to Charlotte and learn her mother died when she was young and her dad died about a decade ago. Nalagon says she may take her in after the Equinox. They also tell Charlotte the next time we get into a fight (because let’s be honest there will always be a next time) to just hide somewhere. We also give her a dagger just in case she should need to defend herself.

Althena decides to roam around the village and tries to go into a tend but it's heavily guarded and she is denied entry. We learn the tent contains lizard baby eggs and someone tried to steal them once so now it's guarded tightly.

The sun sets and the moons start to rise. Akengo says it's time and sets the stone on a rock, sprinkles the stone with water and the stone starts to glow. Traveling order: Sorcha, Athens and Nalagon (Althena still high and needs help), Tolvin, Charlotte, Vistra, Amriel, and Azi.

We all arrive in the outskirts of Eisgfion (where the match stone is). We all have this electric tingle after traveling through. THe weather is much cooler and damper than the Lizard village we just left. We are greeted by three people from Verul’s court: Zizx (lizard folk), Esula (dryad), and Zakiatan (Saytor). They inform us Slaana made it to Verul and she and Arsel are extremely happy. Zizx and Zakiatan go through the stone to the lizard village.

We’re about an hour East of Eisgfion, so we hop on the carpet and fly to Eisgfion. We see the lights of Eisgfion. Part of the city is walled about there is a good junk of the city that is not in the wall. It's clear the city expanded after the wall was built. There are guards with torches on the walls. We hop off the carpet and walk up to the gate.
