Session 29 Recap

We pick up right where we left off. (There’s some discussion about whether or not an evil dwarf threw something into the pond and turned it portal, I mean purple.) We fight 5 more rounds of combat. Highlights: more Duergars keep appearing, the portal/purple is mentioned loads of times, Roper kills Mufasa, Koda takes revenge for Mufasa and kills several people, we fight flying Cloak things, Nanuk makes an appearance and we win the day.

After the battle, we looted the bodies (as one does); there was gold and small weapons, and a pouch filled with crystals. One of the dead bodies (the human ones) had a journal on him. They were from Fiodhalart (Tolvin’s hometown, though he only found that out a few sessions ago). They heard rumors about a cave that has a portal/purple to the Underdark and they thought it was a good idea to check it out. (Men).

We then decide it's probably best to destroy the cave so nothing else for the Underdark can come through. After much decision on how to do this it's decided that Althena would use her Shatter spell, Vistra would use the Erupting Earth spell and Everest would go around smashing the hell out of everything to bring the cave down. Outside Tolvin has the dome raised and we take a short rest.

After the rest we continue on our way. We eventually reach a thick thicky thicket thing. We are then greeted by an old acquaintance named Trindel. He says, “Ah you made it. Mother’s been expecting you. Follow me on foot and stay close.” Leads us to a clearly with a few ridges and looks up. We hear the drumming sound of very large wings; Verul.

(Now that we finally get to meet this bitch and tell her about the shitty ass jobs she’s doing keeping track of all the shit going on in “her” forest.)
