Agency - Session 11 Recap

We pick up back at the agency after returning the triceratops to the boat. We hang out in the agency and take a long rest.

We get up and have breakfast. Arianell, Lythriel and Thorig head off shopping while Faefiel stays back at the agency. We get a message over the sending stones that there is a new client, so we head back to the Agency.

We get back and there is a male Dwarf in fancy clothes. He is introduced as Thelkom Furonlin, a mining magnate in town. He says that he has a nose for gems, and somehow seems to know about the dragon tears that we have in the bag of holding. He tries to buy them but we tell him they are not for sale. We get back to why he is there.

His mining crew found a wall in the mine and broke into it to find a temple. They ran off scared and won’t come back. Thelkom’s son, Rynlin, fancies himself an archeologist so he went into the temple and hasn’t been seen for 2 days. He would like us to go find him. After some negotiating we agree to 1000g upfront with more upon completion.

We head off to the mine and find the temple. We notice that the temple is very bare and plain. There is a statue but none of us recognize the god.

As we head into the next room, Thorig finds that the halfway is booby trapped but manages to not get hurt. We head into the next room where there are 2 Magma Mephits that we take care of. We head into the third room, which appears to be the main room with a larger statue and pews. There are also 3 more Magma Mephits and 4 Fire Lizards (Firenewt Warriors). We enter the room and take care of the Mephits and 2 for the Firenewts. Arianell tries to talk to the remaining 2 Firenewts and we find out that they are looking for 3 stolen stones. We explain why we are there and offer to help. During this we hear another voice, which turns out to be Rynlin. With Rynlin’s help we search the temple, and find some hidden rooms.

In the one hidden room, we find a dead dwarf and another Firenewt. We explain what is going on with the help of the other Firenewts. The new Firenewt has found the 3 stones on the dead dwarf. Rynlin had found the dwarf’s journal that says he created a god, Torbium. He had the worshipers of Torbium mining for gems to make him richer.

We take some extra gems and clothes from the mine and head back to the agency with Rynlin. We tell Thelkom that there was nothing in the temple, and negotiate our final payment to 500g for each of us and 500g for Uxoria. He ups his offer for the Dragon Stones to 15,000g, but we tell him that we will need to think about it.
