Agency - Session 08 Recap
Draodchachdmios 11, 2358
We wake up and head to breakfast at the agency. We fill Uxoria in the events of the previous evening. She asks us to come downstairs when we are finished eating.
We finish up and head down stairs. There we see her a Half-Elf woman. Uxoria introduces here as Rosalee, the Agency’s new Office Manager. We talk with them for a few minutes when the the bell up front rings. Rosalee gets up to go see who is there.
She comes back with Capt Samuel "Sam" Grimes. Uxoria and the Captain know each other and she lets us know he is the Captain of the Watch.
He would like some assistance with some recent murders in town, that resemble several murders from about 4 years ago, known as the Stillwell murders. As none of the team are from Fiodhalart, the Capt fills us in on the old and new cases. The old case was a series of 5 murders committed by Bryce Stillwell. There was a detail left out of the original reports that has shown up in the new murders. That detail is that their eyes were cut out. There have been 2 new murders with the eyes also cut out. There was no commonality between the victims in the first murders (different races, male and female, different methods of killing).
He lets us know that the original detective on the case, Jandal Heartstep, has retired and is living outside of town.
The 2 new murders (which also seem to be occurring more frequently then the original) are Harrison MacKie - Human Male - Stabbed (Draodchachdmios 6, 2358) Zinna Asimol - Female Elf - Strangled (Draodchachdmios 9, 2358)
Capt tells us that Quirora Inthrisial was the last person to see Zinna alive. She lives on the west side of town.
We decide to head to the Inthrisial’s, then to Fari’s shop for information and then head out to find Jandal.
We arrive at the Inthrisial’s house and are greeted by Jenkins (#4). He lets us know that Quirora is out of town. He also lets us know about a break in at the family crypt, that he hasn’t talked to Quirora about. We get a little more information and decide to head there after Jandal since the graveyard is to the west outside of town.
We then go to Fari’s to get information on any magic that could use eyes. He gives us some information on Necromancy and what to look for. He also mentions that there is a blue glow when it is being cast. We pick up a few extra things and head out to find Jandal.
When we get to the area that the Capt said to go to we do not see any sign of Jandal. After a few minutes we hear a noise from the north, and head to investigate.
We find a Halfling, which turns out to be Jandal, and a bunch of Kobolds. The Kobolds said they want Jandal out of Her forest.
We help Jandal defeat the Kobolds. We talk to him about what is happening in town. Jandal agrees to go back and talk to the Captain.
We head to the graveyard. We find the Inthrisial family crypt. It has been broken into. We notice that there are 2 graves inside disturbed. These happen to be the most recent 2 people that were buried, which would seem to be Quirora’s parents that had died the previous year. We take a look at the bodies and notice that the eyes have been removed.
We leave that crypt and look around the cemetery. No graves are distrurbed, but we do notice a disturbance around 2 other crypts. We check the first one, and notice that it is also broken into and there is a grave disturbed. We notice that it is the most recently buried body in the crypt and that its eyes are also missing.
We head to the other crypt which is in the back of the cemetery. We find the door open and we walk in. We see a Lizardfolk in the back of the crypt standing by an altar. The Lizardfolk is casting something that is causing a blue light. A Human Male then appears and says “I don’t know who you are, but won’t stop me.”
