Morning

Althena, Tolvin, Vistra and Azi all meet up in the cafeteria at the Temple of Torachas. Sorcha finally arrives; she spent the night with Kai again. The group discusses the agenda for the day. Step 1: Meet with the Scryer to see what he has seen about what the hell is going on. Step 2: Head to the Palace and meet with the King about what the hell is going on. Remus enters and joins us. He says he’s here to give us a heads up on Scryer Murphy. Murphy has been doing this for a very long time and he can be a little strange. He uses many herbs, potions, and spells to open his third eye to be able to see things and predict the future. Remus also says sometimes Murphy is spot on and sometimes he predicts things that simply could never happen.

We leave to meet the scryer. Scryer Murphy is an older gentleman with long white hair. He tells us he thinks he’s seen the guy (Foiliag) we are looking for. He asks if we happen to have anything that belongs to Foiliag or anything he touched. We happen to still have the letters that Foiliag sent to his minions with instructions to destroy us. We hand them over to Murphy. He leads us to the Scrying room where we meet Fenris, Murphy’s scribe. Murphy gets to work. He grabs a potion and pours it over his hands and places his hands over the Foiliag’s letters. (Nothing happens). He then grabs a stone bowl and pours a mixture into it and places a hot stone in and inhales. Then he takes a drink of a thick black potion. (Long pause at this point. Vistra is down and gone. Must be alcohol withdrawal.) (Vistra finally returns, carry on) . He drinks the thick black potion and sits down and inhales more herbs and starts to mumble. His eyes close and his breathing slows. Then his eyes fly open and he begins to talk and says: Some say the end is near. Some say we’ll see Armageddon soon. (And Vistra is gone again. Someone get her some alcohol) (Vistra finally comes back again.) The Scryer starts over again.

Some say the end is near. Some say we’ll see Armageddon soon. He certainly hopes he will. This son of Galarion, he’s so sad. And so very Angry. Anger leads to hate, hate leads to… darkness. His body was battered, his world was shattered. He went off to defend his homeland, be one with the warrior inside, thought he was indestructible, determination that was incorruptible, but the enemy had other plans. Captive and tortured most of the war, freed at the end, oh my, 10,000 days in the fire is long enough, he’s going home. But there is no home, and they’ve awoken the demon in him. War took his baby, bombs killed his lady, the town mildewed and smoldering. He left home, and went to the shore to find work, only to find cold silence, cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion. Took his anger out on innocents, hoping the darkness would show him some light, sad but true, but only darkness prevailed when chance introduced him to the Dark One. He traveled the seas to come here, to learn more of the Dark one. Here he found the stories and the legends, and a path to reveal the darkness. He wants to be an inspiration for the ways we’ll never choose to be, to show us our light has abandoned us. Wants to see his family again in death, and take us all with him. If his face becomes sincere, beware. Now he needs to find the girl, the impossible child, the balance of light and dark, the girl that shouldn’t exist, a product of forbidden love, and tied to both life and death… and he’s so close. He’s in Eisgfion looking for her. He’ll stop at nothing to complete his quest, and has stopped caring for anyone along the way. Once he has the girl, all he has to do is make it into Her forest, and wait for the equinox. Getting past Her will be difficult, and we have time, but we can’t dawdle. It could be the end of all things…

And with that he kind of falls over and falls asleep. Fenris said that was like nothing he’s ever seen before and will make copies of the session and get them to us.

Highlights: The impossible child is a balance of life and death and product of forbidden love. The son Galarion (Foiliag) has to get through Verul’s forest. Foiliag is looking for the girl in Eisgfion which is North of Kasimir.

After all this, Azi heads back to his room to continue to read his tome while the rest of the group go shopping. (I'm not typing everything in at this point) We went to the Scriptorium and the Marvelous Arcana shop and with the help of Althena’s extremely high rolls and modifier managed to get great deals on the things we all got. Even Azi tagged along through the Bracers. Major highlight Vistra finally gets her Amulet of the Drunkard.

Back at the compound we meet up with Azi and he gets his stuff and money transfers hands. We leave and head to the Palace for our meeting with the King.

At the Palace we are taken to a meeting room/library with a long table. The King and three of his assistants walk in. (Sorcha makes us all stand). The King wants to know what the hell is going in his kingdom. Sorcha fills him in (again I’m not typing all this shit out, we all know what’s going on bc its tried to kill us a few times) Note: The King and Verul have an agreement over the forest and he wants to canvas the forest but ultimately believes Verul will handle it herself. Sorcha suggests putting the word out to all the villages to get Verul’s attention and possibly find help. The King agrees. He states he will also give us a letter of introduction for the mayor of Eisgfion with instructions to help us. The King also says he wants to give us all land as a reward for the hard work we’ve done and will do. (Vistra’s grant distillery coming up). He also grants us the use of his wizard to assist in the transmitting of letters and his best horses from the Royal Stables. He’s also giving us financial support and will order his blacksmith and the armorsmith to make anything we need.

(Travel Itinerary- Talmheim - Eisgfion est. 5 weeks walking. Map: Talhmein to Madatricona to Kasimir to Eisgfion. Sacrifice taking place 38 days from now.)

Update on Baab. He has been found and is okay. The royal interrogators weren’t able to gather any information from the Doppelganger because he killed himself (or did he???)

At this point the Galarion Ambassador enters the room. Her name is Tosar Repra and we have a little chat about Galarion history. Highlights: She doesn’t recognize the name Foiliag. 70 years ago in the country south of Galarion a dictator game to power and started spreading a hatred of magic. 10 years later he started a war with Galarion that lasted for 30 years. Tosar Pepra says Foiliag could be from one of the one the border towns that were laid to waste. (then the light bulb goes off) She asks if he was captured. He was. We then learn shortly after the war started a group of magic soldiers were captured by the Southern country and held prisoner and tortured on a regular basis until the end of the war. She also says the Galarions have no god of death so Foiliag would have to have heard about Basan somewhere else. She also says her people will help in any way they can.
