| + | The chest disappears, and by the left most pillar appears an Air Elemental. By the right most pillar appears a Succubus. After landing a few initial blows on the Succubus, unbeknownst to the rest of the group Aywyn is charmed by the Succubus. Aywyn is then told to attack Althena. After missing on the first attack, and a timely use of Cutting Words, Aywyn manages to land 2 punches to her. While Sorcha had been knocked prone due to the Air Elementals whirlwind the Succubus polymorphed into Althena. When Sorcha got up and saw 2 Althenas. After determining the actual Althena, Sorcha attacks the Succubus. The Succubus drops the Polymorph and flies back to Aywyn and uses Draining Kiss. After a second Draining Kiss and an attack, Aywyn collapses unconscious. While this has been going on Banzai and Ed are dealing with the Air Elemental until the Air Elemental killed Ed. Sorcha is now in Dire wolf form and lands the final blow on the Succubus by ripping her head off. Aywyn has now failed 2 death saving throws. Althena administers a Healing Potion restoring him to max HP (now at 2, due to the two Draining Kisses). Aywyn gets up and using Radiant Sun Bolts is able to finish off the Air Elemental before failing back to the ground. | ||

| + | The room goes black again and then returns to its original appearance. Remus enters the room. He tells Aywyn that the clerics are on their way as he is not looking too good. He compliments the group on the work they did. He was really impressed with the Tidal Wave and says they will need to look into water magic. He states that they had us fight a Succubus as they Ailyia Five had encountered one before. He further explains that they had encountered both a Succubus and an Incubus. Althena and Sorcha realize that they must have been the 2 High Elves (Velle and Demhan) that they met on the road. They tell Remus that they are the ones that stole the ring. Remus said he would have the Scryers investigate and see if they could track them down now that they had that information. | ||

King Anamcoil is in his mid-60’s and has been ruling Rharne for many decades. He was married to Queen Nabeora until her death a few years earlier. The king was never really a people person and after the queen’s death he became more shelter and hidden away. He only meets with his advisors and other important people. But he’s done great things for the country. He’s increased trading with the southern neighbors, the Hurkons. The king and queen had two children. | + | We all gather in the hall and have breakfast. Remus joins the group again. We discuss what we want/need to do today. Tolvin would like to go to the supply shop and gather supplies for fire (still not a good idea). Remus promises to take everyone after breakfast. Azi and Althena want to go to one of the Temples of Agma. It's decided that the one they need to go in on the other side of town. (Sure make the dwarf walk the whole length of the city and tell her she can’t use the flying carpet.) (We all go to the supply shop and pick up everything we need) | ||
| + | |||
| + | We make our way to the Temple of Agma. It’s about a 30 minute walk (Dwarf legs not happy). The city is a melting pot of all races, there is no dominant race in the capital. As we are walking, we see something walk past us and some of the group explain to the others they believe we just walked past a Walking Machine (like Data from Star Wars, I mean Star Trek.) | ||
| + | |||
| + | We walk past a large white building guarded by an all female (mostly human) force. We realize this is an embassy and look at the flag flying on top of the embassy and note this is the Embassy of Glareian (country north of Rharne). Light Bulb goes off, Glareian is the country where Garrett Stormraven is serving as Ambassador to. (We sent him a package earlier). | ||
| + | |||
| + | As we continue on our journey, a strange feeling comes over Sorcha, Tolvin, and Vistra. It’s a feeling that the group is being followed by someone. Sorcha casts Past Without a Trace and the group ducks into a nearby alley. Tolvin says he sees an Elf whose very confused and appears to be looking for someone. This Elf is wearing a green cloak. Althena cast Detect Thoughts and in Elvish hears him/her (person had a very fast sex change in a minute) think “I could’ve sworn that was Sorcha”. Sorcha moves closer and notices the left side of the cloak isn’t filled out (like there’s something missing under the cloak) and realized this is an old friend of hers she hasn’t seen in over a decade. (This is where the character has a sex change as Ben and Sarah agrue” over this person’s sex should be, kinda like the Catholic Church and the LGBTQ). Sorcha pops up right in front of her friend and introduces the group to her friend Thea. (At least she introduced people, our DM not so good at this.) THea’s cloak isn’t filled out on the left because she is missing her left arm. The group is invited to a party at the Temple of the Nature People tomorrow. The group accepts. Thea asks Sorcha “have you seen him” (This sounds like an ex-boyfriend only Sorcha has no idea what he looks like or even his name, sounds like the beginning of a country song). We continue on our way. | ||
| + | |||
| + | We arrive at the southmost Temple of Agma (finally, my legs hurt). There are two wings of this temple. The left one is filled with piles and piles and rows and rows of books (library). The right one has tables topped with glass jars, fires and charts; a closer look we learn there’s an alchemy class later. We meet a young woman in her 20s. She greets us and asks how she can help. Althena tells her what she is looking for and the girl tells Althena to check out the Celestial section in the back of the library. Azi says he’s here to see a Warlock named Kohl and is informed he’s in the library as well. (The rest of us are here because the DM said we couldn’t split up the party). | ||
| + | |||
| + | In the library we meet Kohl, a ½ Ork (like beast from X-men but green not blue). Azi goes first. Asks Kohl for information on Pack Keeping; he wants to be able to communicate with his Mommy and this is the only way to do it. Kohl says Azi needs a totem of a god to be able to complete the process. Kohl says he’s able to communicate with Agma because Agma gave Kohl his quill. Azi will need something that belongs to his Mommy to complete the pack and gain the abilities to channel her powers. | ||
| + | Althena’s turn. Althena asks Kohl if he knows anything about a group/civilization that uses light as a weapon. She tells him about her mother and the metal box she kept in the closet and how Althena opened it one day and the next these people in white armour showed up and her mother disappeared. And the light was capable of splitting an elf into pieces. Kohl takes all this in and gives his opinion. Kohl believes Althena is alive but presently on a different plane. He tells us there are different ways of getting to these different planes and says the attack on Althena’s mom sounds like a military style attack and the metal box that Althena opened was probably a homing beacon (Oh shit). | ||
| + | |||
| + | We ask about the sun dial in order to contact the Collector. Kohl tells us about the parade grounds and tells us the Collector is a trickster and we should possibly try the opposite of what we wear told (make dusk show dawn, we will need a light source in the east to shine down on the dial [Tolvin smiles]) | ||
| + | (Midday) | ||
| + | |||
| + | After the long (and I mean long walk through the city) and all conversations with Kohl the group is hungry for lunch. Kohl suggest a local dwarf bistro called the Gruesome Cabbage Inn (now we’re talking). The “inn” is a hole in the wall . We arrive and are greeted by a dwarf woman who leads us to a table. THe place smells amazing (breads, slow cooked meats and alcohol). We look over the menu and notice there are not vegetables anywhere on the menu (Bryan’s kind of place). And to Vistra’s liking the the alcohol menu is 4 times larger than the food menu. While scanning the alcohol list Vistra is happy to see a drink she has seen or had in awhile, Ice Wine (very popular with dwarfs). The rest of the group orders their food and drinks. Azi orders half a keg of dwarven stout. We talk a little about summoning the Collector and whether to do dawn at dusk or dusk at dawn. | ||
| + | |||
| + | We finish the meal and by this time Azi is sloppy drunk. He tries to magically cure himself and fails miserably and I mean miserably. It's time to leave the Gruesome Cabbage. There’s a discussion about how we are gonna get Azi to the parade grounds and it's finally agreed upon that he will lay on his stomach with his head hanging off the back of the flying carpet, Vistra will drive. Sorcha, Tolvin and Althena will walk close to the carpet to try to conceal it. Along the way Azi gets airsick and pukes (this is why he hangs off the back). | ||
| + | |||
| + | We arrive at the Parade Grounds. Azi wakes up a little buzzed and unclear as to how he got to the Parade Grounds as the last thing he remembers was the Gruesome Caddage. THere is a stoma dais with a flagpole in the center making a sundial. Tolvin starts to move to the east of it when we notice there are an awful lot of guards roaming around the Parade Grounds. Althena decides to move closer to the man who appears to be in charge and cast Detect Thoughts and hears him “say” the King’s caravan is on his way through. Tolvin decides to cast Detect Magic and the sundial lights up with illusion magic and across the way a window lights up. As Tolvin tells everyone this, we notice the window opens and we see slight movement. We believe this may be an assassination attempt as we can hear the caraven getting closer. Vistra cast Erupting Earth to block the window and 20x20x20 walls of rock appeared blocking the window and door of the building. | ||
| + | |||
| + | THe guards come over to us and ask us what happened. As they start to ask we hear some of lightning and there is a 5ft gavilon sticking out of the rock. This was gonna be used to kill the King. (We just stopped an assassination.) The guard captian named Baab wants us to speak to his cleric (Cyrus). He waves over a man wearing the hourglass symbol meaning he’s part of the Morrigan goddess of fate. Unbeknownst to the group before he comes over he cast Zone of Truth meaning we can’t tell a lie. The Capt likes pink. The cleric interrogates us and turns off the zone of truth. We learn that the crown prince is in Hurkon and the princess was in the carriage with the king. Capt says we are free to go and they will continue to investigate the incident. We pick up a few hours later. After speaking with Toraches the party splits up to resolve somethings.
Azi goes off on his own to find out some more info on his mother. Vistra heads to the bar (what else are you supposed to do after finding out you died and was brought back by a god who then had bad timing with the visions he gave you). Tolvin goes searching for fire (as if he didn't have enough already) and later joins Vistra in the bar.
Sorcha and Althena join them at the bar and bring a friend with them. A Half-Elf named Remus. Sorcha, Althena, and Remus all look like they just recently been in a fight. Sorcha explains what happened.
As the Ailyia Five are leaving the room where they met with Torachas, they are approached by a member of the Wolf cast. He introduces himself as Remus. Remus asks what are our other plans while here in the capital. Sorcha says she wants to visit her old temple and catch up with a few people. Althena is looking for information on a race that uses flaming wands as weapons. Remus mentions those could be a faction of celestials and the Temple of Agma (god of Knowledge) has a library of Celestials. Azi arrives and Remus takes his money off the table winning the bet. We fill Azi in on what he’s missed and decide to head to the dormitory for a rest, deciding to plan out tomorrow tomorrow. (Long Rest) (Daylight)
We all gather in the hall and have breakfast. Remus joins the group again. We discuss what we want/need to do today. At the temple we are greeted by Remus and he quizzes Azi about his drinking. We head to the hall for dinner. While at dinner a messenger walks into the hall and announces there was an attempted assassination on the king and princess. Remus ask if we had something to do with this.
We discuss and decide to go to sundial in the morning. And page walks in and hands Sorcha a note inviting us to a feast at noon time tomorrow at the temple of Nadur. We had to bed.
