Session 32 Recap

The Next Morning.

It was a mostly quiet night, there were a few murmurs about Slaana attacking her mother. Guluias says Swygnihi is resting comfortably and recovering well but will obviously be taking it easy for the next couple of days. He also says his mother is not too fond of us at the moment (I mean we did kill her son and brought her daughter a note which led Swygnihi almost dying, though Azi did save her, so that should count for something, right?)

Guluias tells us there are two ways to get to the Lizard Folk. We could go east and head through the forest and this will save us about a half a day but it's uncertain what we see or encounter. Or we could go to the main roadway. It will take us a little longer but is much safer. We decide to go through the forest (did anyone actually think we would go the safest way?) Guluias points us in the direction of the trail.

We opted to go on a magic carpet ride (insert song lyrics here). We passed rolling hills and trees (nothing really of interest, one forest seen them all). Then we see it, on the southern horizon is a large boulder (ooh aah). This is where things don't go as planned. We meet a girl named Hazel who worships the Egg Rock. We think it’s something bad (well for 31 sessions that’s what the DM has done). We try to destroy it and give Hazel a heart attack at the same time. Turns out it's just a plain old frackin rock. We leave the boring rock and continue on to the Lizard Folk.

It’s evening and we come to the edge of the forest and hear a girl's voice. She is standing in front of a statue. We send Archemides to investigate. The statue is a male in battle gear. He is holding a shield with the symbol of a hand holding a heart. Vistra recognizes this symbol as the symbol of the Rharnean god Aengus the god of love (don’t ask how Vistra knows this one). This statute is clearly not of the god so it must be a cleric or champion of the god. We hear the girl say “I miss you father”. Sorcha goes to greet the girl (glad to see we’ve all accepted our roles in the group). But before Sorcha can say anything the girl says “I told you I’m not joining you for your stupid ritual.” (okay clearly something had been going on here). She realizes we’re not who she thought we were and she explains (their must me something about us that people just tell their life stories and problems to) Highlights: a group want her to join them and on the Spring Equinox they want to summon Aengus and want Charlotte (BTW the girl’s name is Charlotte) to become the vessel for the god. (male god female body, okay then). She’s told them no several times but they’re very persistent. Charlotte says they were polite the first time they asked but the more she said no the more meaner and ruder they became. (Could this be the girl from Vistra’s vision?).

We then hear a male voice saying “She’s coming with us”. Then appears a cult leader, 5 cult fanatics, and 3 assassins. Also at this point Nalagon is getting extremely pissed with these guys. And we fight (after Tolvin tries to punch somebody and misses). Fight doesn’t last long as we make quick work of them. Though we hear a voice saying “Charlotte this isn’t over we’ll be back.” Charlotte agrees to come with us and we can hide her in the capital at Torachas’ temple. We loot the bodies (as one does after killing them) and continue on our way. Long Rest

Morning. We continue on our way. We enter the Swamp lands. By mid afternoon we arrived at the village of the lizard people. The Shaman (Akengo) sees us and summons us over and introduces us to Queen Hox. We have a little conversation and we tell them why we’re there. They summon another Shaman named Srex over. We hand her the box and she runs to her mortar and pestle. They we talk about getting to Eisgfion and learn we have to wait for the moonlight.
