Outside the Collector’s.
Carl says he’s been looking for us all morning since news of the battle at Torachas spread through town. The King wants to see us. We get in the carriages he brought and head to the palace. At the palace we are escorted to the throne room. Before we enter the room Carl goes over some rule of etiquette. We enter the throne room and Carl heads to the dias. On the dias is the King, Carl and an unnamed handmaid. Magalia and Naeren are still in disguise. We introduce the King to the new people in the group and he thanks us again for trying to save the world and, after our recent shopping spree in town, he also thanks us for helping the local economy. We talk about how to keep our new friends protected for the next 15 days. Anamcoil soon realizes one of these ladies is the impossible girl and loses it a little. Wants to know why would bring her the largest populated city in the continent?
After some back and forth he somewhat politely asks to leave town (in the same tone a mother uses when asking you to do something). But where do we take her? Somewhere far away from the populous but not too far away from supply lines and help. King sends Carl to the Archives for a map of the continent and the spell potion they had been talking about. We ask if we can talk to the King’s wizard. Agrees and sends the handmaid to fetch him and some refreshments.
King agrees that if we can find a location to hide and save the world then he will give us the location as a home base. We head to the conference room. Carl and the wizard (Afaris) join us. King says we may need some of the magic from the war days (mass teleportation spells). This involves someone carrying an anchor point (a pendant). Then people can be transported to the area around the anchor point en masse. (Note: this spell has not been tested on interplane travel). King agrees to send what he can spare to Nalagon including supplies for the spell and we will keep the pendant.
The map of Rharne is rolled out. There are five fortifications along the Hurkon border with the two closest to the river being the largest. As far as the King knows those fortresses are still empty. He recommends the fort built near a big tree (Oakwell tree). He will also send word to the Hurkons to let them know we are coming. King says we will spend the night in the guest wing.
A blue dragonborn enters the room and takes a seat. He is introduced as Klacath. There is a bit of a plane traveling question and answer session.
The plan: spend the night in the palace, then start making the journey to Oakwell in the morning to see what’s there and send messages to all our allies. The Handmaid (now named Penny) enters and says the guest wing is ready and dinner will be brought in.
(So not gonna lie kinda zoned out here, too much talking, not enough entertainment. Here’s the highlights)
- Is plane shifting wise
- King offering to protect our family
- Give anchor point to Magalia
- guards will be posted in the guest wing just incase
- Need to figure out how F is tracking us
- Go to bed
