Agency - Session 01 Recap

We start in the city of Fiodhalart on the east coast of Rharne. It is midday. The market is rather crowded. There is a rumbling in the crowd that the mayor is about to make an announcement.

A few minutes later there is a very loud voice from the middle of the crowd. The voice is coming from a tall elf in fancy clothes. The elf is Mayor Naillo, who does not seem to be well liked based on the reaction of the crowd.

The mayor says that Esta Ohlahana has been kidnapped and he is looking for volunteers to try and rescue her. The crowd wants to know why her father doesn’t just pay the ransom, and he says that her father is out of town and he is trying to rescue her before the father gets back. He says there is a reward. He says that the kidnappers were seen heading west towards the old abandoned mines. At this point the crowd starts to disperse. He says if anyone is interested to head to the Naillo Agency and talk to his daughter for more information.

Arriving at the Naillo Agency is a silver dragonborn, a dwarf, a goliath and an elf. We all go in and are greeted by an elf that introduces herself as Uxoria Naillo. She shows us the crudely written note that says to leave the ransom at the mines and they would return the girl. Uxoria states that the reward for rescuing Esta is 15g per person.

She takes us to one of the back rooms in the agency, and we see a room full of supplies. We take some healing potions and some other supplies and head off towards the mines.

As we approach the mines we see one Bandit standing outside the cave. The dragonborn in our party approaches the bandit. The bandit tries to convince her not to go into the mines. As this conversation is going on the dwarf decides to approach the bandit as well. The goliath and elf are staying back and hiding in the trees. The bandit seems to be trying to alert others as he keeps talking rather loudly. Soundly the bandit is hit by an arrow coming from the tree. After a few more hits from our group the bandit is lying dead on the ground when there is a voice from inside the mine asking him if everything is ok. The goliath is seemingly able to impersonate the bandit to assure them everything is ok outside.

We slowly start entering the cave. As we are scouting the cave, the goliath is spotted but 3 Bandits, and a Bandit Captain. The rest of the group is able to quickly take out 2 of the 3 bandits, while the third tries to run away farther into the cave. We take care of him and then set our sights on the Bandit Captain. During the fight with him, he calls for help and a hidden door in the far wall opens and 2 more bandits come out. The captain and the 2 new bandits are dealt with.

Inside the hidden room we find Esta locked in a cage. We manage to break the lock off with a crowbar. We find a note on the captain that says this group is from Toradeh in the south and came to Fiodhalart looking for work. We take the weapons from the bandits along with some gold and head back to the agency with Esta.

We are greeted back at the agency by Uxoria. The dragonborn in our group negotiates for a higher payout since we brought back the supplies that we found in the mines. We each receive 20g. Uxoria also offers to put us up for the night, and says for us to go upstairs and to make ourselves comfortable. At this point the group finally introduces ourselves.

After a while Uxoria returns and lets us know that Esta is now back at home. She also says that she may have her first client for us downstairs.
