Session 16 Recap

We start the day at the Monkey’s Uncle Inn in Medatricona. Tolvin’s beard is again looking rather bushier. We all eat or drink breakfast. The plan for the day is to do a little shopping in town then head to the zoo.

Jasmine says she’ll come along with us because she wants to see her favorite animals and her friend Marsaili, who is the ticket taker at the zoo. We leave the inn and head to a magic shop and rare book store. Some of the group does some shopping.

On our way out of the city we meet up Jasmine and Tigebore and head to the zoo. We arrive at the zoo and pay the entrance fee. Jasmine leads us around the zoo showing us the different animals (Cave Bear, Direwolf, Gorilla/Ape, Giant Lizards just to name a few). Seoras is the zoo owner and Grorlea (Althena’s “friend” from the Bard college) works on and off at the zoo. We come to a pen that houses an Unicorn, which is a celestial. THe Unicorn reacts to Azi and walks over to Althena. Seoras tells us he bought the animal from someone in Eisgfion, Azi offers to buy the Unicorn for 1,500 gold pieces. Azi and the Unicorn speak to each other through the celestial language. Her name is Amriel. Azi tells Amriel she is now free and she rejoices. We learn she was purchased from a hunter who kidnapped her. She was sent to this plane to guard a very important cave in Verul’s forest (i.e. the cave of Aiylia that we cleared out several weeks ago, it really does feel like weeks but actually days ago.) Bonus info she was sent to guard the place by Azi’s mom (It’s a small world after all). Amriel joins the Aiylia of five (or are we six now?). Side Note: Unicorns are Telepathic.

More animals we see: Giant Scorpion, Giant Crocodile, Elephant, Allosaurus (dinosaur), Giant Frog, Giant Wolf Spider, Giant Spider, Owl, Giant Boar, Snakes, and Giant Centipede.

Seoras stops us and asks if we see any interesting animals along our journey to send them his way. HELL NO!!! We see a cart cart coming along the path outside the building and see that there is a tiger in a very tight cramped cage. Sorcha goes to investigate. The cart stops at a building on the property and heads inside. We send in Archy to see what's going on in the building. It's filled with dog kennels that are full of animals (wolves, tigers, bear oh my) Now things get interesting.

We confront Seoras about the animals. Highlights: Certain members of the group try to remove Seoras as owner of the zoo. Demands are made that the animals be set free and or released to their natural habitat. Grorlea is fired. The police show up but see us wearing cloaks with the King’s symbol so they’re hesitant of doing anything towards us. Eventually a deal is struck; Seoras will stop buying animals, rehire Grorlea, and we’re gonna keep an eye on the place in case he tries to do anything funny. Also at some point someone conjured a baboon and goes and stents in front of Seoras and swings at him and completely misses. We leave the baboon in the care of Seoras (Baboon will disappear in 24hrs. Archy shits on Seoras head. On our way to the Monkey’s Uncle. We ask Amriel if she wants any protective gear and stop at the leatherworks and buy her gear.

We chill out for a little bit and around 8pm we eat dinner. During dinner a stranger comes up to the table and asks if we can tag along on our trip to Kasimir. He introduces himself as Garret Stormraven (the mofo we sent a package to several days ago.)
