At Verul’s Court

Verul is surprised to see us so quickly. She’s also surprised to see we’ve added a human to our group. She says she never thought we would complete her tasks especially since one of the tasks she gave us was supposed to be impossible to complete (BITCH, I knew it). The more Verul talks the more pissed and impatient Nalagon is getting. She wants Dileus back now. ‘

Finally Nalagon has had enough and demands Verul bring Dileus out and hand him over. Dileus comes out and Verul tells him he’s free to go. He replies “but why would I ever want to leave you Mother.” (Son of a Bitch, literally). Nalagon’s face drops, she looks defeated. Nalagon really wants to bring Dileus home with her, and starts pleading with him to come. She looks at Verul and orders Verul to undo her brainwashing or order Dileus to come with Nalagon. Verul looks at Nagalon like “bitch you're really trying to give me orders.” (We’re gonna get eaten alive)

Nalagon says she knows where Ovridon is. (who or what the frick is an Ovridon?) Clearly Verul knows who that is because she looks scared. (I need more alcohol for this conversion). Verul says, shakely, “he’s dead it doesn’t matter” (it’s a who not a what). Nagalong, “ Are you sure he’s dead? Ovridon always looks out for his children and if he found out you took his son he’s not gonna be happy as you’re in open violation of the deal you two have. You want him to come for you?” (well shit!!) Verul says he’s dead because her spy in the south told her so. Nagalon says are you willing to risk your life over a simple little dragonborn. Verul asks Dileus if Ovridon is his Father. He has no idea, he was orphaned as a baby and raised in the military.

Verul states that after the last battle her and Ovridon made a deal. She would have the north and he’d have the south and neither shall touch the other’s children. She’s not sure if Nalagon is really telling the truth or making shit up but she’s not willing to risk her life for him and orders Dileus to leave with Nalagon. Orders a stone to be brought forth to send us anywhere out of her sights. But before we go she tells us there are two places for the forthcoming sacrifice. They’re a bit overgrown and she marks them on the map.

We go through the stone, Nalagon is dragging Dileus with her. When we exit the stones we’re surrounded by farmland. We look to the west and see Kasimir.

Nalagon says it's been a long long journey, let’s all go to the Armored Goat and she’ll buy us dinner. It's been a few weeks since we’ve been in Kasimir. We head to the Inn. At the inn Archie is there sweeping the floor. He sees us and runs off. We are greeted by a woman behind the bar who’s not Amanda. She introduces herself as Lily. We ask her about Amanda and what happened to Amanda. She has no idea she was hired by Stormraven after Amanda left. Archie returns and hands Nalagon an envelope. She reads it and says “She actually did it”. Nalagon informs us Amanda ran off with Garrett.

Lily returns with our food. Nalagon proposes a toast. She thanks us for all the fun she’s had over the last several days. Now we delve into all the questions we have.
Is Ovridon Alive - Not Sure
Is he Dileus’s daddy - Hell if she knows (Dileas a little sad at this).

Nalagon then proposes an idea for us. She can’t continue to come with us as she has to run her business. If what we say is coming is bad, we’re gonna need help. She’s got friends in town with lots of land. She’s thinking of setting up a boot camp to train people to help us in the fight. She’ll organize troops for us. Charlotte volunteers as the first recruit.

Nalagon also suggests we use a code word or phrase so the training camp knows the potential recruits were sent by us. Code Phrase: “I’m here to save the impossible girl”.

Althena starts playing some music. Everyone else reaches out to their allies with updates and information for helping. Dileas hearing of our battle plans, comes out of his trance. He pledges his life to Nalagon and our cause. Discuss funding of the resistance. Nalagon will work up a rough estimate for funds. We agree to give her the start up and ask allies for more.

Plan for the morning; head back to Eisgfion and try to find the girls and keep her away from Foiliag. Meet up in the morning and discuss the number of the training camp.

Long Rest

Breakfast: We all head down for breakfast. Nalagon, Dileus and Charlotte are already there and greet us. Nalagon asks how did the ‘ET phone home” go? Sorcha says she heard back from the Capital and they are people and what supplies they can. Vistra heard back from Pride Rock. They have people willing to help and we’ll get them to Kasimir. They have supplies that they will ship. And most importantly they will send the traveling still and they will send more sending stones (that last one is not as important as the still).

Just then three Dwarfs appear out of nowhere in the Armored Goat. They walk over to Vistra saying “The Queen sent us and told us to give this to you.” They hand Vistra a bag containing a set of sending stones. Vistra takes them out and hands one to Nalagon and the other to Sorcha. Nalagon now has a way of reaching the group. We tell the dwarfs the code phrase so they can pass it on to other recruits and where the camp is. And just like that they disappear as quickly as they appeared. (Dwarfnapping).

Nalagon and Dileus talked and decided that the cost will be about 1 gold piece per head per body. We each give 2,000 to help get things started. Nalagon, Dileus, Charlotte and the remaining dwarf head out to the site of the camp to set up the compound.

Azi gives an inspiring speech and we head to Eisgfion via the magic carpet. Pretty quiet until out of the woods we hear a cry for help. We send Archemides and Tolvin sees through his eye and sees a chick tied to a rock and muffled in the middle of a dead grove. The girl looks human and mid-20s and we don’t see anyone else. There are footprints around but they are way bigger than a human’s. There are lots of spiders crawling around. Sorcha cast Pass without Trace on Tolvin who uses Mage hand to untie the girl. Once the girl is untied she rounds towards.

All of sudden we hear “Dinner’s getting away.” A troll appears and begins sniffing the air and says “Something tastier than human is here” The girl we saved just books it out of the area. The Troll calls for help and an Ettercap appears. And in typical Tolvin fashion launches a fireball.

(We go 2 rounds of fighting and Pause for the day)

+We pick up in the middle of the troll battle.  During the battle, more Trolls, Giant Spiders and Giant Wolf Spiders show up.  We take care of most of them and the Giant Wolf Spiders flee the fight.

+We loot the Oni and Trolls and head back to the road to take a short rest.  We continue north on the road for a while until we hear some noises from the forest.  Sorcha recognizes the sounds as wolves and owlbears.  We go closer to investigate and find 2 baby owl bears surrounded by a pack of wolves and an Alpha around what appears to be the remains of an old shrine.

+We try to scare the wolves off with some dancing lights and a warning Fire Bolt, but they do not leave.  Azi goes up and gets in the Alphas face to scare him off but he doesn’t leave.  We end up fighting the pack and freeing the baby owl bears.  Sorcha uses Speak with Animals to talk to the babies.  We find out that the babies have been out on their own since their parents went missing after a ruckus in the forest (ok, so that was us).  The babies were out looking for food when the wolves found them.  They want to stay with us until we can get them to the animal sanctuary (former zoo) near Madatricona.
-We go through the stone, Nalagon is dragging Dileus with her. When we exit the stones we’re surrounded by farmland. We look to the west and see Kasimir.
